Sarah is a first-year student in Seventh College studying Business Economics with a minor in Design. Growing up in Silicon Valley, Sarah has been surrounded by tech companies and the continual rise of entrepreneurial establishments, inspiring her to be driven. Even in such a fast-paced environment, Sarah finds it important to take time to connect back to cultural roots and highly values the strength of family. For over a decade, Sarah took weekly art classes to explore and gain expertise in different art mediums such as watercolor, oil painting, and traditional Chinese calligraphy. She is greatly appreciative of these experiences that have shaped her to become the person she is today and owes it to her parents.
Professionally, Sarah intends to intertwine tech and creativity into her future. She is greatly interested in pursuing a career in marketing, UX design, and is even considering law. Having been involved in humanitarian organizations throughout high school, Sarah hopes to continue making a positive impact on others whether it be donating time and funds towards charitable causes or impactful initiatives in her future career. Sarah would like to study abroad in East Asia sometime in college to gain more perspective of the different cultures and seek a diverse academic experience, while also searching for potential work opportunities.
In her leisure, Sarah enjoys documenting her food adventures, brushing up her artistic abilities, and taking advantage of her time in San Diego by watching mesmerizing sunsets at the beach. Through Alpha Kappa Psi, Sarah has been able to not only grow professionally and personally but also find a community that has helped her create numerous memories during her first year of college. She is grateful for the opportunities that have been presented through the fraternity and is excited for what the future holds.
