Joyce Qi

San Jose, CA

Joyce is a second-year from Eleanor Roosevelt College studying International Studies with a focus in International Business, as well as a minor in Design. She is passionate about studying marketing and web design and strives to pursue opportunities in team building and creativity, as well as engaging with and assisting others. Growing up, Joyce has always been grateful to have been brought up bilingual, giving her a much deeper appreciation for learning other languages and traveling around the world. She is currently studying Japanese and hopes to study abroad there during her college career and even possibly work abroad in Japan after graduation.

Professionally, Joyce strives to pursue internships and projects related to media marketing and graphical design. She previously worked as a Leadership Development Intern for the start-up company, RippleMatch, which focuses on helping college students land their next job opportunity with partnered companies based on students’ preferences and experiences. Her position focused on creating posts to promote RippleMatch as a career resource to UCSD students on social media and message people individually to garner more sign-ups. In the future, Joyce hopes to create her own online store to sell stationery and lifestyle products, marketing them through social platforms such as YouTube.

In her free time, Joyce enjoys exercising by jogging, jumping rope, and other home exercises. As an individual, Joyce loves to plan and organize anything. You can often find her switching up the color palette for Google Calendar or meal prepping in the kitchen. Currently, she is challenging herself to solve a Rubik's Cube as it's always been something she thought of doing but never started.
